Staying at another summer camp hotel...so no Internet or TV again. At least we are in iPad 3G range.
We rolled into Yellowstone about 4:00 this afternoon and it wasn't 5 minutes before we had seen a fox strolling down the road, a heard of elk playing and grazing, and one lone buffalo out with them!
After the animal sightings we swam in the Firehole River, warmed by geyser water. Still cool, but not just melted snow like all the other rivers and lakes we've seen.
The only geysers we saw were drive-bys. The first real rain of the trip kept us in the car. Cleared up in time for a nice dinner at Grant Village in the park, and what do you know it's cool again.
Tomorrows plan...more geysers, more animals, Old Faithful, and the Flagg Ranch!
This place is really amazing.
